Gin & Tonic Matching Menus by Marc Fosh

Gin & Tonic is seriously in at the moment, and more and more people are enjoying the delicate flavours of premium gins and tailor made gin & tonics.

But have you ever thought of combining different gin & tonics with your food? Chef Marc Fosh and his team at Misa Braseria in Palma has done just that and present a series of gin & tonic evenings during February and March in Palma de Mallorca.

Here is the menu Marc Fosh has to offer:

Starter
Duck rillette and apricot – lavender compote paired with Finsbury Dry Gin & Fever Tree Tonic

Main Courses
Salmon ravioli with fennel & lemon beurre blanc paired with Martin Miller’s Gin & Six O’ Clock tonic

Beef cheeks served with polenta and rosemary-basil jus paired with Spanish Gin, Gin Mare & 1724 Tonic


Dessert
Chocolate & orange mousse with cinnamon ice cream and confit ginger paired with G’ Vine & Fentimans Tonic

Gourmet event: 26th of September

Coming up on the 26th of September is a gourmet event not to be missed. For the first time ever, Marc Fosh (Mallorca’s celebrity chef) will be opening his doors to another Chef. But not just any chef, celebrity Michelin chef Tim Raue.

Tim Raue will be joining forces with the Chef at Simply Fosh, Nils Egtermeyer, to produce a haute cuisine six course meal at Simply Fosh, the gourmet restaurant of the Marc Fosh Restaurant Group here in Mallorca.

True to form, Tim Raue will be creating Asian influenced dishes, and Nils will be creating Mediterranean specialties. Tickets for this unique culinary evening are already on sale and you can find more information on SkyBlueMallorca.com.

Mojitos at Misa

Misa Braseria and Bar has fast become well known as being the third restaurant opened by the Marc Fosh Restaurants Group. Located inside the Mision de Sant Miquel Hotel, right in the centre of Palma, it offers a ‘brasserie’ style cuisine.

The Restaurant also has its own bar, the Misa Bar, which has a fantastic cocktails and drinks menu, as well as a snack menu, perfect for light lunches or afternoon snacks.

On Thursday the 14th of July, Misa bar will be welcoming the weekend in early with a special ‘Mojitos’ event. Enjoy the original new Mojito variations on offer at Misa (€5 each) and try the new complementary canapes. See you on the Misa terrace!

Every week, the Tasca de Blanquerna restaurant in Calle Blanquerna, Palma prepares a fresh seasonal menu at a very competitive price.

Enjoy the best in Spanish regional cuisine for 14 euros plus Iva (3 course menu including dessert).

Back to school with Marc Fosh


Celebrity Chef Marc Fosh is holding a special ‘Back to School’ class at his restaurant Tasca de Blanquerna in Palma on Monday the 27th of September.

The class will be a ‘show-cooking’ demonstration where the Chef will take guests through the process of cooking a three course meal, after which everyone attending will be able to enjoy eating the meal in question. Every dish is of course accompanied by wine.

The class will mark the beginning of another season of Marc Fosh’s cooking classes which take place in the evenings and including both show-cookings and hands-on classes.

Aubergines, ‘Purple Reign’

Tasca de Blanquerna Restaurant


The Fosh Food Group has recently reinvented its establishment in Calle Blanquerna (previously known as Fosh Food) and it is now a Spanish Regional Restaurant called Tasca de Blanquerna.

Chef and co founder Marc Fosh has always had a passion for traditional food from all the regions in Spain and has developed a long list of his own recipes, which always have a healthy touch to them.

Clients can enjoy a dish of the day, which changes daily, a weekly set menu, or the a la carte menu.

The great thing about this restaurant is that the kitchen is open plan which means that clients can watch their food being prepared to order while enjoying a glass of Spanish wine.

Mallorcan food features on in-flight menu


Lufthansa airlines now offers some Mallorcan dishes on their flights. Marc Fosh has been approached by the airline to recreate some of his signature dishes for the first class passengers on the German airways’ flights.

Lufthansa has worked with a series of top Chefs, and Marc Fosh’s offering on board will include his ‘Mallorcan Seabass’ and his ‘Chocolate truffle with olive oil and flor de sal’.

Simply Fosh Restaurant now also open on Saturday lunchtimes

simply foshSimply Fosh Restaurant in the centre of Palma has recently changed its timetable to include Saturday lunchtimes.

Remember this restaurant is open for lunch from 13.00 to 15.30 and for dinner from 19.30 to 22.30 (in summer 20.00 to 23.00).
