Es Moli den Bou is a Michelin starred restaurant in Sa Coma, Majorca, run by renowned Mallorcan Chef, Tomeu Caldentey.

Every year Tomeu and his team organise a schedule of cookery courses, wine tastings and other gastronomic events for guests and patrons to enjoy in the run up to the festive season.

Back to school with Marc Fosh


Celebrity Chef Marc Fosh is holding a special ‘Back to School’ class at his restaurant Tasca de Blanquerna in Palma on Monday the 27th of September.

The class will be a ‘show-cooking’ demonstration where the Chef will take guests through the process of cooking a three course meal, after which everyone attending will be able to enjoy eating the meal in question. Every dish is of course accompanied by wine.

The class will mark the beginning of another season of Marc Fosh’s cooking classes which take place in the evenings and including both show-cookings and hands-on classes.

New Organic Market in Palma

Palma will from now on have its own exclusively organic market.

The market will take place every Saturday in the plaza Bisbe Berenguer (otherwise known as the Plaza de los Patines) in Palma from 08:00 to 14:00.

The market will sltock all kinds of organic foodstuffs, mainly local and will be the Balearic Islands’ first ever exclusively organic market.

The history of Casal Santa Eulalia

The Casal Santa Eulalia is a beautiful Mallorcan country estate located near Can Picafort in the north of Mallorca. The estate now houses an exclusive country hotel and a restaurant which was mentioned in this year’s edition of the Michelin Guide.

The estate has had many different phases and was even once a convent. Its current owners decided to completely renovate the Casal in 1997 and it is now in beautiful condition and combine the old with the new extremely well.

Cuban Music at Limon y Chelo


Limon y Chelo is the Restaurant at the Sa Taronja Cultural Centre.

On the 30th of September, Limon y Chelo customers will have the pleasure of listening to some top notch Cuban music before, during or after their meal at the restaurant.

Customers can choose from a set menu or some tapas whilst they enjoy Sergio and Ivan’s Cuban rythms.

Binissalem Wine Festival 2010


The 2010 edition of the yearly Binissalem wine festival is currently taking place.
The festival is spread over several days and includes a myriad of activities and parties which attract visitors from all over the island to the village of Binissalem.
Binissalem is at the centre of Mallorca’s wine production and the festival celebrates the yearly harvest and even includes a grape treading competition.

Restaurant Update: Es Molí de’n Bou

We have recently updated the restaurant profile on SkyBlue Mallorca for Es Moli den Bou, one of Mallorca’s Michelin starred restaurants.

Chef Tomeu Caldentey have been succesfully running this restaurant for quite some time and it has maintained its star despite moving location last year. (the restaurant is now located in Sa Coma).

We have updated prices, menu information and photographs. Es Moli den Bou holds regular gastronomic events and we highly recommend visiting.

Es Porxo Eatery – Open for business

Es Porxo Eatery in Palma had been closed during August, but is now open again for business.

Es Porxo used to be a guest house and has now been converted into a cosy eatery. The cuisine is typical Mallorcan and International.

There are 43 off set lithographs of Picasso on display at Es Porxo; preparatory sketches that the artist made for his famous work of art ‘Guernica’. An exclusive collection which will attract many visits.

Open every day for lunch from 13.00 to 16.00
Dinner only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 20.00 to 23.00

Witness Spanish ham being cut by a professional

Sa Taverna and Sa Placa Restaurants in Alcudia have organised some very special evenings in the presence of a professional serrano ham cutter, Jose Abellan.

Cutting serrano ham is a very unique form of gastronomic art and requires great skill. A quality ham needs to be cut in the right way in order to enjoy its flavour to its full potential.

Gala Wine Tasting

There will be a very special gala wine tasting at the St Regis Mardavall Hotel Mallorca on the 8th of September, organised by Catavinos.

The tasting will be led by one of Spain’s foremost wine experts, Fernando Remirez de Ganuza from La Rioja.

This is a unique opportunity to discuss wine to your heart’s content with such a great expert in the area.

The tasting will be followed by a gourmet meal at Es Fum Restaurant.
