WHAT IS “Functional Eating”?

Ø The Mardavall is the first hotel where you can find this extensive nutritional concept as an additional service for guests. They added the important subject of “healthy nutrition“ for the first time to the usual services of a SPA and by doing so, completing the service of treatments, relaxation, massages and sports.

WHAT IS THE IDEA BEHIND THIS CONCEPT?
Ø We all live and lead a different life to one another and therefore our energetic needs and specific individual nutrients will vary. This concept is based on 7 columns which represent different situations in life, such as everyday stress, physical activity, relaxation and taking care of ones body that little bit more. With this new concept in mind it is possible to support the body perfectly, what ever the situation.

HOW DOES THIS CONCEPT WORK?
Ø It is very easy. Every food has been classified and assigned to the 7 columns of nutrition. The Mardavall Hotel has integrated the whole concept into their restaurant S´Aigua and modified their menus according to “Functional Eating”. So, all you have to do is “choose.”

IS THERE A SCIENTIFIC BASE TO THIS CONCEPT?
Ø This concept has been designed over a period of 2 years by a nutritionist and an executive chef using and combining the latest nutritional findings. What is so special about this, is that you have the expert scientific knowledge of a nutritionist and the vast culinary experience of a chef not to allow health nor taste to fall by the wayside.
